Tony Finau has put an end to rumors that he might move to LIV Golf by stating that he will return to the PGA Tour in 2024.
Following Jon Rahm’s withdrawal from LIV Golf last week, there was intense speculation that other tourists would play in the opening round.
Among the recent whisperers was Tony Finau, one of the PGA Tour’s most popular players, who barely managed to say what he was thinking when he predictably responded to a question: “I don’t have anything to say right now.”
At the Grant Thornton Invitational last week. But Finau had something to say Monday, and it was the first good news for PGA Tour fans in a long time. The six-time Tour winner announced his retirement and announced his intention in an Instagram post.
“Looking forward to 2024 and my 10th season on the PGA Tour! “I’m excited to represent both Mexico and Houston!”
His last words were, “See you in Maui! #I’m not going”
