Tyreek Hill disputes Tom Brady’s assessment of the current NFL as “mediocre”: “He’s retired so he can say that”

Tom Brady recently made remarks about how “mediocre” the NFL is right now. Tyreek Hill, though, doesn’t think the seven-time Super Bowl winner is right. On the Stephen A. Smith program, Brady went into great length on how the subpar product on display is caused by a variety of factors, including coaching and player development.

He talked about how the new regulations have made it easier for players to be saved from making mistakes. On the other hand, Hill has stated that the league is currently assisting in providing a product that is far more engaging for the audience.

Here’s what Hill said on his podcast:

“I wouldn’t exactly say that, the game is now like in a space where it’s built to protect players. I know he said that it’s built to protect offensive players, but truth be told, it’s really not, it’s built to protect the game and how people look at the game because everything is about safety.”

“It’s just trying to find ways to help the game evolve into like a safer game and offense sells, we know people love to see the TDs, people love the ‘peace signs’ even though NFL will fine you for it. But yeah people love to see that, but he’s retired now, so of course he can say that.”

Tom Brady’s remarks actually make sense because defensive players have found it challenging to be dominant without incurring penalties under the new rules. On the other hand, an offensive team that scores more points might occasionally keep the audience far more interested.Tyreek Hill is undoubtedly one of the athletes that is having more fun in the NFL right now. With a single season, he has the potential to become the first player in NFL history to achieve 2000 receiving yards. Hill has 88 receptions for 1,324 yards and 10 touchdowns in 11 games this season.
