Final Injury Report for the Vikings at. Bears: Justin Jefferson is questionable
Justin Jefferson, the outstanding wide receiver for the Vikings, is once again classified as questionable for Monday night’s game against the Bears.
He will, at best, miss one more game—that would be his seventh—because of the hamstring injury he sustained in Week 5 against the Chiefs. The Vikings could use their bye week the following weekend to give Jefferson an extra 13 days to get ready for his Week 14 return against the Raiders.
It is still possible that he could play against the Bears if he feels ready to play despite that fact.
“The medical opinions hold a greater weight than my own,” stated Kevin O’Connell on Saturday. “It’s because I witness Justin Jefferson stepping on a
excellent point about that.”
The Vikings must decide by Monday at 3 p.m. central time whether to activate Jefferson off of injured reserve. It’s still a safe bet that he sits out one more game and receives a bye week to complete his recuperation. The Vikings have always made it apparent that they wish to exercise caution when it comes to their franchise’s public face. That may or may not hold true.
CB Akayleb Evans (calf strain) and DT Khyiris Tonga (knee discomfort) are both doubtful for the Vikings. The rookie Mekhi Blackmon would start for the second straight game if Evans is unable to play.
RB D’Onta Foreman, OL Larry Borom, CB Tyrique Stevenson, and LB Noah Sewell are all out for the Bears.
