As the Browns deal with quarterback uncertainty, quarterback Joe Flacco keeps working on his preparation.
Joe Flacco felt a little nervous and excited to be back on the practice field when he took the field for the first time on Wednesday with the first team.
“I think no matter what, when you come back here and you have a little bit of nerves,” Flacco stated.
“I think it’s just the excitement of getting it back out there and being able to do it and wanting to do well.”
During practices on Wednesday and Thursday, Flacco participated in drills with the starting squad as quarterback Dorian Thompson-Robinson is still following the concussion protocol.
On both Wednesday and Thursday, Thompson-Robinson did not practice, and OC According to Alex Van Pelt, Thompson-Robinson underwent testing on Thursday morning and is still going.
Flacco’s ability to throw the ball has been witnessed by his teammates, particularly by the receivers who get practice making those kind of passes.
Wide receiver Amari Cooper stated, “He throws a very pretty ball.” “I’m not sure if it’s deliberate or not, but the entire action is like poetry in motion as he lowers back and lets it go. It appears nice.
“Flacco said that he is happy with the condition of his throwing arm and that he done everything within his power to maintain it.
Resuming first-team practice reps after a break can induce nervousness, according to Flacco, which can lead to some pressing.
He has, meanwhile, been concentrating on making touch throws and placing the ball where he needs to, on time and in rhythm.
