Lewis Hamilton believes it will be a “long slog”
To get the outcomes he wants to see, but he is glad of the efforts Mercedes is making to diversify its workforce.
By the end of 2025, the team hopes to have hired 25% of its workforce from underrepresented backgrounds, having started its “Accelerate 25” campaign three years prior.
Hamilton stated that his attempts to increase diversity in the sport are “more important” to him than winning additional titles.
Hamilton has experienced two winless seasons following his contentious championship defeat at the end of 2021.
