Red Bull’s technical director made an interesting statement about RB19

Red Bull’s technical director made an interesting statement about RB19 after the team won 21 of the 22 races in the 2023 Formula One season: “In that respect, we failed”.

Red Bull’s technical director, Pierre Wache, has rendered an unexpected decision about the RB19. Wache believes that the car fell short in one specific area, despite dominating the field and winning 21 of the 22 races in the 2023 Formula One season. This has to do with Max Verstappen’s Red Bull teammate Sergio Perez.Wache claimed that even though Verstappen was controlling Red Bull’s RB19, Perez was not even close to him when he was operating the vehicle.

“A fast car is one that gives the driver the best possible performance. We were unsuccessful in that regard since only one driver—Max in this instance—was able to get along with it. Max has a talent for using the automobile well in a variety of situations and throughout the season. However, Wache told Formule1.nl, “We might not have realized what Checo needs in order to fully realize the potential of the RB19.”

The technical director went on to say that his staff shouldn’t have any justifications for losing because he is a perfectionist. Wache continued by describing the rigorous work culture of a technical team.
“We very much have everything we need at Red Bull, so there are no reasons not to win. If not with me.

I’m a stickler for detail. Individuals in the technical field are rigid. At our level, attention to detail is more crucial than ever-achieving perfection. Since it is what distinguishes the two. It’s strange when you think about it, but in our line of work, a car that is 1% slower is considered a bad automobile,” he continued.

With 575 points at the end of the season, Verstappen secured his third world championship, while Perez came in second with just 285 points.

The goal of the Red Bull team is to boost energy drink sales during the 2023 Formula 1 season.

Christian Horner, the manager of the Red Bull team, recently asserted that the supremacy of the Formula One team and their race weekend commercials are to blame for the rise in sales of the energy drink.

According to Horner, on CNBC’s The Inside Track: The Business of Formula 1:

“An old proverb goes, ‘Win on Sunday, sell on Monday.'” We are the largest marketing force behind the beverage firm when it comes to the Red Bull brand and energy drink since we promote them internationally for 23 racing weekends a year.

The current world champions had an incredible 860 points at the end of the 2023 Formula One season.
