Deion Sanders has split from his fiancee of 12 years, Tracy Edmonds.
Coach Prime and his longtime love are calling it quits after over a decade
Deion Sanders and Tracy Edmonds’ love story never had a happy ending. The multi-talented couple decided to separate after 12 years. Edmonds broke the news on social media Sunday night, saying the decision was mutual and they will now remain friends.
“All those who have supported and loved us… “We decided it was best for us to go through life as friends and we made this decision with love in our hearts, respect for each other and gratitude for the time we spent together. We will go through this transition. Thank you for joining us over the past few years! We love and appreciate you so much!

Edmonds has supported Sanders’ efforts for years, including attending the Boulder game. But the Emmy-winning producer appeared to distance himself from Sanders after saying nothing publicly about being named Sports Illustrated’s 2023 Athlete of the Year last week. He has been with Sanders for the past four years, going through several complex surgeries involving blood clots and complications.
The couple first met in 2012 while attending the premiere of a film produced by Sanders Edmonds. A few months later, we were able to reconnect at a business meeting. From that moment on, the rest is history,” says People magazine. “She’s been a blessing in my life,” Sanders said of meeting Edmunds, whom he described as “a sophisticated, professional, genuine woman.”
Sanders will remain focused on the offseason and the transfer window will reopen in 24 hours. Coach Prime’s second year in Boulder got off to a rough start. Three coaches left the program and several very talented recruits turned their backs. Colorado finished the 2023 football season with a 4-8 record. Those are better numbers than most opponents would expect for the Buffaloes.
