Woods wants to compete again, so he plans to do one tournament a month.
After making his comeback to professional golf on Sunday at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas, Tiger Woods stated he hopes to be able to play one event each month in 2024.
The tournament, which he hosts for his charity, saw the 15-time major winner finish 18th out of 20 players.It was the former world no.
1’s first tournament since he had to withdraw from the Masters in April because of an ailment before having ankle surgery.
After suffering a severe leg injury in a car accident in 2021, the 47-year-old has maintained a reduced competitive schedule. He stated that the goal for the following year was to compete in one tournament each month.
“Once a month seems reasonable,” he continued. It allows me a week to tune up and a few weeks to recuperate. I might be able to pick up the rhythm,” he said to Golf Channel.
He expressed excitement about competing alongside his son Charlie in the PNC Championship, which was previously known as the Father/Son Challenge, starting on December 14 in Orlando.
