Defeating Pierre Gasly this season, Esteban Ocon declared he will be in “war mode” for 2024.In their debut season together at Alpine, Ocon finished one place and four points behind Gasly, despite being the driver most familiar with the squad.
Nevertheless, bad luck played a major role, since the former had plenty of it during the campaign.Ocon’s progress was hindered by seven DNFs from 22 races, but Gasly had a more successful year in that area.
However, there were still some highlights, including his podium finish in Monaco and an incredible drive.
He is drawing inspiration from those instances for the patch going forward. In addition, the 27-year-old promised to put in much more effort in the 2024 campaign to make up for the chances he lost this year.
