It is possible to argue that in 2023, Brooks Koepka had the best year of any professional golfer. Still, there’s a greater case to be made for him having the most intriguing year. Yes, there was lots of excellent golf, but there was also a lot going on, perhaps the largest life transition a person could experience. Nothing can get you ready for your very first diaper change or restless night as a parent!
But there was so much more in between. After starting the year as a pitiful character, Koepka converted back into a victorious one by raising the fifth major trophy, which his ailments had led him question would ever happen.
The new father frequently displayed his signature tough-guy persona, but he also shown a tender side, especially when it came to Crew the infant. And the guy kept saying what was on his mind and provoking people, particularly on social media.
