Lewis Hamilton compliments Mercedes leader amid team slump: “He hasn’t lost an ounce of his competitiveness.”
Toto Wolff, the manager of the Mercedes team, was praised by Lewis Hamilton for maintaining his “ounce of competitiveness” during the previous two racing seasons.
Since the sport’s introduction of new regulations at the start of the 2022 season, the German team has only managed one victory.
Mercedes has failed to contend with Red Bull, its opponent and reigning world champion; in the Constructors’ Championship in 2022 and 2023, they finished P3 and P2.
In an interview with RacingNews365, Lewis Hamilton said that even after two years without winning, Wolff is still highly motivated and competitive.
“He hasn’t lost an ounce of his competitiveness,” he declared. He has intense competition.
Before the 2024 season, Lewis Hamilton claimed that the Mercedes F1 team had discovered their “North Star” in the development of the W15.
The seven-time world champion said in an interview with the BBC that they have figured out how to improve the vehicle and make it competitive for the upcoming season.
“I think we finally have a North Star, something we haven’t had in the last two years. Even so, there isn’t a straight path there.
Furthermore, there have been decisions and other actions that have placed you in a situation where you are unable to take further action due to various factors including cost caps.
“”On that first car last year, we had a lot of aero.” We possessed, When the W15 goes to the track for the Bahrain preseason test next year, it will be interesting to see if Lewis Hamilton’s boast that it is the “North Star” proves to be true.
With any luck, it will live up to the hype and contend with Red Bull for the championship in 2024.
