Two changes to the Ranking method were recently revealed by the Governing Board of the Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR).
First, a new points distribution curve will give the top finishers in events with fields of 80 or fewer on all eligible Tours a larger percentage of the available points.
Likewise, with noted exemptions, Positioning Focuses will at this point not be disseminated to players completing in the last 15% of the last standings for these occasions that don’t have a cut.
Moreover, for occasions with a match play design, players who lose their first-round match or lose all matches in a pool configuration will never again get Positioning Focuses.
Second, the Overseeing Load up likewise presented a new multi-win benefit that gives a 60 percent reward to players who win briefly time inside a 52-week duration on any qualified Visit; a 70 percent reward is granted to players who win at least multiple times.
