EXCLUSIVE: How likely is it that Joe Flacco will be on the Browns’ roster next season?

On Thursday night, Joe Flacco faced his old team, the New York Jets, and made them pay.

With a 37–20 victory at home, Flacco helped the Cleveland Browns improve to 11–5 on the year and guarantee a postseason berth.

Joe Flacco Shared Classy Moments With Aaron Rodgers and an Old Jets Teammate After Browns Win

There were no bitter feelings between Flacco and the Jets following the game, despite the fact that he and the Browns offense put on a show against the Jets defense, with the veteran quarterback passing for 309 yards and three touchdowns.

Near midfield, injured Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers told Flacco, “So happy for you man.” “Man, keep balling.”

Following his reunion with some former teammates, Flacco had a sweet conversation with Cleveland-born CB Justin Hardee.

“Dude, you realize this is my city?” Hardee enquired. “This is my hometown. Bring a “ship” to my city.

Flacco had been out of the NFL since 2022, when he last played for the Jets. He made his comeback to football in the middle of the 2023 season, just as the Browns were trying to fill up their QB depth chart.

Following Rodgers’ injury in the season opener, the Jets did not bring up Flacco. However, Flacco was acquired by the Browns in the middle of the season, and since then, the game has been as successful as either team could have dreamed, with Flacco throwing for 300 yards and at least two touchdowns in each of his five starts and the Browns going to the postseason.

Even when the Jets benched him following Rodgers’ injury, Flacco was all praise for the team, and it seems that his former teammates in New York are wishing him only the best moving forward with the Browns.
