Lewis Hamilton picks the driver he most enjoyed competing against
The driver Lewis Hamilton most loved competing against was Sebastian Vettel. The German and the Mercedes driver battled together for more than ten years, during two distinct periods of dominance.
Although the drivers didn’t get along at first, they became good friends towards the end of Vettel’s career.In a conversation with Wall Street Italia, Hamilton was questioned on who he enjoyed competing against the most. The British racer, named Vettel, claimed that competing against him was always a tough struggle.

Hamilton was also questioned on some of the lessons he had picked up from his father when he was very little. One of the most important lessons he was taught, according to the British driver who came up through the junior ranks under the guidance of his father, was to never give up.
“He taught me three basic words: never give up. These are the words he repeated to me most often. Not to give up, to keep pushing, to continue to fight. When you’re a kid and things seem too hard you’d just want to give up everything. My father, on the other hand, always spurred me on, telling me to stay focussed and move on. When I failed he told me to try again. His words became like a mantra,” Hamilton said.

Lewis Hamilton and Sebastian Vettel initially began exchanging blows 2009 when McLaren and Red Bull had a serious vehicle. To begin with, it was the German who overwhelmed the game from 2010 to 2013, then, at that point, it was the English driver who held the benefit from 2014 onwards.
