Although the Browns have a new offensive coordinator, it is still up in the air whether head coach Kevin Stefanski will retain play-calling duties or delegate them to Ken Dorsey.
During his four years in charge, calling the hostile plays has been his obligation and his alone.

Stefanski has said before that he’d pass off the play-calling assuming there was somebody he believed to show improvement over him on staff.

Cabot also said that the Browns seem to think Dorsey was a sacrificial lamb for the Bills this season when things weren’t going well.
Bison lost three of four and dropped to 5-5 heading into Week 10 when lead trainer Sean McDermott chose to excuse the ex-Browns QB.
Under Dorsey, the Bills offense positioned second in focuses per game at a clasp of 28.4. His unit was third in expected focuses added at a clasp of .117.
However, those metrics do not convey the entire picture. From Weeks 5-10 – a stretch where Bison lost four games, the offense just scored north of 25 focuses once.
Through the first ten weeks of the season, Buffalo had turned the ball over 17 times, placing them ninth in giveaways per game. The Bills only made nine mistakes in their final seven games.
Everything being equal, Dorsey accepted the position with the Browns understanding that he may not turn out to be the essential play-guest.
