Exclusive; Lane Kiffin Gives Shout Out To Auburn’s Bruce Pearl

Auburn’s 91-77 win over Ole Miss was a huge win for the Tigers.

Sandy and John watched a great basketball game in the Black Pavilion. The Tigers trailed 44-35 at halftime, but came considerably closer, outscoring the Rebels 31-13 over the final 10 minutes of the game.

After the game, Auburn coach Bruce Pearl held his usual press conference. In addition to commenting on the win itself, he mentioned a local bar and restaurant called City Grocery in Oxford, which was popular because Pearl admired the whole environment Ole Miss created.

But Pearl did not know how best to describe this organ. Excerpts from Pearl’s press conference:

“Last night in town… I went to the supermarket last night to eat. I know it’s something else. It’s not just a supermarket. Whatever. “Hey, just…” Fun. This is huge. There were also fans and they were all very respectful.”

Ole Miss coach Lane Kiffin had a chance to comment in the press conference video:

It’s clear the two are friends, as Kiffin told Pearl, “I love you and I miss you.” surprising. It’s great when college coaches have fun.
