McIlroy discloses what Tiger woods offered him to “challenge” him at the upcoming tournament.
By 2024, Monday and Tuesday night will be eagerly anticipated by golf enthusiasts.
Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy unveiled TMRW Sports, their new company, in August 2022. Additionally, they introduced TGL – a state-of-the-art league that combines technology with sports – which will team up with the PGA Tour.
Beginning in January 2024, a total of six teams consisting of three players each from the PGA Tour will take part in fifteen weekly matches on Monday nights during the regular season. Subsequent to this stage, there will be semifinals and finals fixtures.
The tech-enhanced, short-game venue is set to host the matches while viewers can catch all the live action during a 2-hour primetime television airing. Fans won’t miss a single shot!
The announcement of all 24 players has been made.
The TGL starting in 2024 has secured players who have committed to compete.
Woods stated that he is dedicated to leading TGL into the future as it represents the next level of professional golf. By incorporating technology, they can create a distinctive atmosphere and elevate their sport alongside major sporting events on a regular basis.
Being a passionate sports enthusiast, I am thrilled to integrate technology and team aspects typically found in other sports into golf. It’s common knowledge that attending matches at football arenas or basketball courts enables you to witness every play and action live before your eyes. This feature is not inherently feasible during conventional games of golf; thus, it becomes the unique attribute TGL possesses compared to traditional golf while captivating a fresh audience base.
