Coach Prime Hints at Son Shedeur Sanders’ Draft Future, “Gonna Be An Eli [Manning]” Echoing Ex-Pro Bowl QB’s Advice to Caleb Williams

Coach Prime Hints at Son Shedeur Sanders’ Draft Future, “Gonna Be An Eli [Manning]” Echoing Ex-Pro Bowl QB’s Advice to Caleb Williams

Deion Sanders expressed his worry about Caleb Williams relocating from a warm location to chilly Chicago. However, now he’s focused on setting up an ideal future for his star NFL players. He clarifies that Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter have secured their positions in the professional league during the 2025 draft season upfront. But, Deion won’t be content with them being selected only by specific cities too much either.

Deion Sanders had reservations about Caleb Williams being advised to follow in the footsteps of Eli Manning by declining an offer from Chicago Bears for his first pick. Although it is uncertain what lies ahead for USC QB’s career in the NFL, Coach Prime doesn’t want Shedeur Sanders and others facing similar conflicts as Williams did five years later.”

Coach Prime has already mapped his sons’ future

A post was recently published by Barstool Sports, featuring an interview of Deion Sanders conducted by MILLION DOLLAZ WORTH OF GAME. The caption accompanying the video read as follows: “There are some cities where success won’t materialize… It will be like Eli.” During this interview segment, Coach Prime made a daring statement regarding his star players Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter’s prospects in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Coach Prime answered confidently that Shedeur Sanders would be the top pick, followed by his two-way star at number four. He also mentioned Shilo Sanders and stated, “I have a preference for where I want them to go.” If things do not align with his plan, he will not hesitate to resort to an “Eli” situation. For those unaware of what it means in the NFL Draft context: could you explain what an Eli is?

Caleb Williams is advised by RGIII to do an Eli Manning-esque move with the Bears.

In 2004, Eli Manning created the “Eli Manning” technique by firmly expressing disinterest in joining the San Diego Chargers. Recently, ex-NFL quarterback Robert Griffin III suggested that doing something similar to what Eli did could benefit Williams if he informed the Bears of his lack of interest in playing for them. The rationale behind this suggestion is unclear.

It’s expected that Caleb Williams will end up with the Bears, but their inability to properly nurture Justin Fields might make him question whether joining them is a wise decision. The fact that RGIII is speaking on behalf of Williams makes perfect sense in this context since he wants what’s best for his client. Additionally, it worth noting that Chicago traded Fields to Pittsburgh last year for an inconsequential draft pick four years from now which has no bearing on his future success or development as quarterback.
