Breaking; Deion Sanders suggests Colorado stars could pull an Eli Manning in 2025 draft: ‘I want the right fit’

Deion Sanders made a splash in the college football arena with his unconventional tactics at Colorado, and now he believes that he will have a comparable impact in the NFL.

During a recent appearance on the “Million Dollaz Worth of Game” podcast, Sanders shared his thoughts about the 2025 NFL Draft with regards to his son Shedeur Sanders, who is a quarterback, and Travis Hunter – a talented two-way star. He confidently stated that both players would be chosen among the top four picks in the draft but mentioned that one player was likely to get picked first overall.

Sanders clarified that his forecast was based on personal judgment, hinting that he has a blueprint for the future whereabouts of his son and Hunter.

“On the one hand, I predict that one will reach the top spot while the other will max out at fourth place. However, it’s important to note that my perspective is based on personal preference and where I hope they’ll land,” stated he on Friday.

“There are some cities that won’t happen; it’s going to be an Eli,” he mentioned, alluding to the ex-quarterback of New York Giants, Eli Manning.

Despite his threats to sit out the rookie season if chosen, Manning was infamously drafted by the San Diego Chargers as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Fans know that he stayed with the organization until the third round and eventually played his entire professional career spanning 17 years for the Giants, achieving two Super Bowl victories along the way.

Sanders cited his personal experience being drafted by the Atlanta Falcons.

“I want my kids to live in cities that are a perfect fit for them,” he explained. “Atlanta fits the bill, and I’m looking for similar options.”

It is currently unknown how much sway Sanders holds in the draft process, although there are initial forecasts that suggest both prominent Colorado players may be considered as first round selections.

In the previous season, Shedeur Sanders achieved a school-record by throwing for 3,230 yards. Additionally, he recorded 27 touchdown passes which was only one less than the program’s highest record for a single season. Moreover, his pass completion rate stood at an impressive 69.3%.

Recording a total of 57 receptions for 721 yards and five touchdowns, Hunter concluded the season. Additionally, he managed to secure three interceptions on defense.
