On March 26th, Charlie Woods received his state championship ring alongside other members of the Benjamin School golf team. His proud parents, Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren, congratulated him on this achievement.
Woods and his former spouse Elin were present at a ceremony where the Benjamin School’s golf team was awarded their state championship rings, having won in November 2023 at Mission Inn Resort and Club in Florida.
Charlie Woods was observed chipping in for a birdie on the ultimate day and rejoicing just like his father while leading Benjamin School boys team to clinching their fourth state championship ever accomplished.
Charlie, a freshman and first-year team member at the age of 15, scored a total of 154 with his Day 2 scorecard showing an impressive round of 76. This landed him in T26 position on the individual board.
Long-time coach Toby Harbeck led Benjamin boys golf, including Charlie’s team, to claim the team title for the first time since 2009.
After securing wins at the district and regional level, the Bucs took home their third trophy of 2023 as a symbol of victory.
Brooks Colton, Pavel Tsar, Jake Valentine and Tyler Bruneau accompanied Charlie.
With a score of 148 in the two rounds, Valentine shone brightly and finished tied for eighth among the Bucs.
Last week was Charlie’s AJGA debut and despite enduring a tough three rounds, he managed to finish in the middle of the pack.

Tiger Woods’ ex-wife was Elin Nordegren, a former Swedish swimsuit model and nanny whom he divorced in 2010 after being caught cheating. They were together for nearly six years before ending their marriage.
Charlie, aged 15, and Samantha, aged 16 are the two children shared by Elin and Tiger.
Woods and Elin were reported to be happily co-parenting and close friends in 2018.
In 2023, it was reported that Woods had ended his relationship with ex-girlfriend Erica Herman and is now single.
In a tumultuous breakup, Herman pursued legal measures, but her plea was disregarded by a federal judge.
Jordan Cameron, a former NFL player, is the partner of Elin and they have two children together.
