Exclusive; Colorado football announces signing of Florida cornerback Ben Bouzi
The Colorado Buffaloes revealed on Thursday that Ebenezer (Ben) Bouzi has been included as a last-minute member of their 2024 signing class.
Bouzi, a senior at Naples High School from Florida and rated as a three-star cornerback by 247Sports, had garnered attention during his recruitment process from schools such as Maryland, Louisville,fFlorida State , Temple, Pitt among others. He stands tall at 6-foot-1 and weighs around 180 pounds.
CU’s financial aid agreement was signed on Wednesday by Bouzi, as reported by Adam Munsterteiger of BuffStampede.
Bouzi expressed to BuffStampede.com that it has truly been a blessing, and he cannot fully articulate how happy he is feeling at this moment. While leaving Tropical Smoothie after completing a workout session, Bouzi was tagged in a post about Colorado football which received an overwhelming response of love and support that exceeded his expectations. This experience was completely new for him.
“Honestly it has been a blessing,” Bouzi told BuffStampede.com. “I can’t truly express how I am feeling right now. I am leaving Tropical Smoothie, after getting done with a workout, and I got tagged in a post with Colorado football and the love is just going crazy. It is nothing like I have experienced, or expected.”
Colorado’s 2024 signing class welcomes Bouzi as their eighth recruit and the primary cornerback. However, it is possible for four-star athlete Kam Mikell to join Buffs’ defensive backfield in due course.
According to 247Sports, Colorado football’s combined recruitment class (including both high school signees and transfers) holds the rank of 22nd in the nation as well as being at pinnacle position in Big 12 Conference.
