Tiger Woods’ 5 Golden Rules 🐯 Lower Your Scores
This list “became the backbone to his game” during his prime years on Tour ⛳️
NO 3-PUTTS
Often an unforced error, and they add up quickly on the scorecard. Learn to become a great lag putter from distance by dialling in your touch.
NO BOGEYS ON PAR 5’s
When you make a bogey on a par-5, you’re giving up shots to the field. Don’t feel like you need to make birdie on these holes, just focus on eliminating bogey instead.
NO BLOWN EASY UP & DOWNS
Try for no blown “easy” saves, but for recreational players, you should strive for no double chips. When you’re around the greens, guarantee leaving yourself a putt on the next stroke. That might mean aiming away from the flagstick
NO DOUBLES
Making bogey will not kill your round, but making a few doubles or worse will. If you find yourself in the trees, punch out and play for bogey. Don’t try the hero shot and bring a huge number into play.
NO BOGEYS WITHIN 150YARDS
This will depend of skill level/ distance. However, try to avoid missing greens with any scoring. Play smart by taking the ‘percentage shot’. Once you start doing this consistently, you’ll eliminate bogeys and make a few birdies along the way.
