Report; Tiger Woods Cursed With ‘Low-Back’ Problems & ‘Zero Mobility’ in Ankle Right Before Masters
Tiger Woods seems to be experiencing ongoing health issues leading up to the Masters tournament. Due to a 2021 accident and multiple surgeries, he took an extended hiatus from golf before returning recently. However, just prior to the first major championship and several months after re-entering competition, Notah Begay III has expressed concern about the 48-year-old’s physical condition.
TWLEGION shared a tweet on its X handle (previously known as Twitter) discussing an American professional’s perspective on Woods. Begay expressed that for the past few months, Woods has been attempting to recover and highlighted two key issues: whether he can walk 72 holes and if he can recuperate between rounds. The latter remains the analyst’s biggest concern. Furthermore, Begay revealed that Woods lacks mobility in his left ankle and is currently facing low-back problems which were anticipated by him beforehand – indicating the constraints being faced by this legendary golfer.
Commenting on the plan of action that the 15-time major is currently formulating to overcome limitations, the 51-year-old stated that he’s trying to devise a strategy and approach within given constraints. However, there are doubts whether it will work out in the end as expressed by him saying,”I am uncertain about this.” There won’t be any clarity until he gets out there and figures if his preparation for this year’s Masters proves useful or not.
In February, due to the flu, Tiger Woods had pulled out of the Genesis Invitational. It’s worth noting that his back was also causing issues even prior to this setback. Remarkably though, on day one at Riviera during a par-4 18th hole mishap – where he shanked the ball – concerns surrounding his recovery were raised by many observers present.
During the post-round interview, Mr. T recounted how his back began spasming and eventually locked up during the previous holes. He expressed frustration as he stated that when he attempted to swing after coming down, his body didn’t move properly resulting in a shanked shot. The professional golfer appeared perplexed by this outcome and commented that it had been quite some time since this has happened before.
In addition, Woods was questioned about his ankle, which he had expressed concern over in December 2023. In response to the inquiry, he stated “My foot is fine but my leg and certain areas are a bit tender – it’s normal.” Despite downplaying any discomfort, recent reports prior to the Masters suggest otherwise. Nevertheless, fans eagerly anticipate his latest appearance at Augusta following his participation in the Seminole Pro-Member event.
Is there hope for fans of Tiger Woods?
Scouting the golf course in Augusta National ahead of the first major tournament of the year, an 82-time PGA Tour champion was recently sighted. This endeavor to improve his preparation for the Masters Tournament is a bright prospect for followers of this 48-year-old golfer who withdrew from Genesis Invitational earlier.
Moreover, the excitement surrounding the 5-time Masters champion’s participation in Seminole Pro-Member only intensifies. It is noteworthy that Tiger Woods competed without a cart and landed at T33 on the leaderboard. Despite not achieving an ideal ranking, his decision to eschew using a cart bodes well for future competitions.
However, ultimately as Begay had stated, Woods can only determine the effectiveness of his strategies by testing them out himself. Nevertheless, a multitude of fans would undoubtedly be cheering for the golfing icon to secure his 16th major title!
