Exclusive; Video, Deion Sanders Goes Off On His Football Team After Getting Bad Reports From Colorado Teachers
There’s no denying the love for Deion Sanders.
Following complaints from professors about certain Colorado Buffaloes football student-athletes skipping class, Deion Sanders strongly reprimanded the entire team. Coach Prime even went so far as to name individual players and read aloud their teachers’ emails during the meeting. During this tense confrontation, Sanders attributed their lack of focus on education to what he called a “NIL State of Mind.”
Sanders has been advocating accountability and responsibility to his team since arriving in Boulder. According to Deion, entitlement has infiltrated both the Buffs program and college football as a whole, with student-athletes increasingly prioritizing money and attention.
Deion was extremely angry upon receiving multiple negative reviews from University of Colorado professors regarding his players. As he read them aloud to the team, he emphasized that most of those who violated won’t have a career in the NFL.
Ouch. Talk about keeping it real.

As a parent with ambitious aspirations for my children’s future success, I relish in this sentiment. My hopes are that they excel and surpass all others.
I homeschool my daughters from 8:30-3:30 p.m. EST Monday-Friday and intend to continue doing so until they head off to college. As their teacher, I go all out and have discovered that I excel at it! However, this raises two important questions – why do teachers require degrees? And why can’t public schools’ low efficacy result in reduced taxes? Nonetheless…
Having devoted considerable time to them, discovering that they’re engaging in irresponsible behavior while attending college would undoubtedly provoke my anger. Thus witnessing Deion’s actions was immensely satisfying for me.
As a Buffs fan, I had my doubts about Sanders as a coach, i.e. his ability to put together a consistent winning play package. But when it comes to the really important thing in collegiate sports, all that is now inconsequential, win or lose, to my new-found admiration for the man as a teacher, leader and role model – if, that is, he’s truly governing his football program. Kudos Deion!
