Breaking; Bills CB Turns Heads With Cryptic Post After Stefon Diggs Trade
Following the trade of Stefon Diggs, Rasul Douglas, a corner back for Buffalo Bills used social media to share an intense movie quote. Certain fans suspect that this post was purposely timed and holds hidden meaning.
X posted the day after the wide receiver’s departure to Houston, sharing a quote from 2006 film “ATL,” featuring rapper TI. The quoted scene features one character cautioning another to leave and never come back.
In his post, Douglas presented a condensed rendition of the quotation.
“Talking, hanging out or skating with you is not what I want,” stated Douglas.
Although Douglas never addressed the trade that resulted in Diggs joining the Texans, certain fans speculated a connection with his social media post.
The message from Rasul Douglas receives reactions from fans.
Fans were surprised by Douglas’ post, as they interpreted the movie quote to be a farewell message for Diggs.
In response, a fan wrote “Sheesh, Diggs must really have an unlikable personality behind the scenes.”
Many linked the communication to Diggs’ collection of mysterious messages that he has been sharing lately. Numerous messages seemed to portray discontent with his situation in Buffalo and a willingness for a fresh start.
Although several Buffalo Bills players gave heartfelt goodbyes to Diggs following his departure, Douglas made no direct references or statements regarding him. Throughout their four seasons together in Buffalo, left tackle Dion Dawkins shared a collection of photos featuring himself and Diggs as a tribute to their time spent playing side by side.
Upon leaving Buffalo, Diggs took to Instagram and shared a heartfelt farewell message with fans, expressing his warmth towards them.
The love and respect I have for the city of Buffalo ♥️💙 cannot be put into words. It welcomed me with open arms for four amazing years, which were some of the best in my life! I will always appreciate you all along with the @buffalobills organization!
The Bills are experiencing increased levels of tension.
Following the April 3 trade announcement, certain reports suggested that there were tensions brewing within Buffalo’s locker room – although none of them specifically implicated Douglas. Tim Graham from The Athletic reported that quarterback Josh Allen had outbursts directed towards Diggs after a loss to the New York Jets in overtime during the season opener.
Graham explained that he didn’t mention it in his story because he was unsure of what Stefon Diggs said, but Josh Allen had a heated reaction when confronted. “He retorted saying something like ‘it’s just one game,’ while gesturing to show that he wasn’t interested in talking about it with him,” Graham stated. Afterwards, Diggs left and Allen remained seated alone.
It is possible that Diggs experienced some friction with the secondary players. Towards the end of last season, when Diggs was going through a prolonged period without scoring a touchdown for seven games straight, Josh Norman – an experienced cornerback – publicly stated that Diggs had been voluntarily taking himself out of game situations.
Norman asserted that Diggs made the decision regarding his limited playing time during an interview with The Associated Press journalist John Wawrow.
Norman stated that he is receiving playing time but it’s him who chooses to take himself out of the game. So, it isn’t because of a lack of opportunities for him to play.
