Breaking; Rickie Fowler commits to inaugural TGL season with Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy
Rickie Fowler has committed to participating in the inaugural TGL season alongside Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy.
Joining Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy, Rickie Fowler is the newest PGA Tour sensation to participate in the first season of TGL- a technologically enhanced Monday night golf league featuring 15 regular games followed by playoffs.
The inaugural year features a line-up of golfers including Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Justin Thomas, Max Homa, Collin Morikawa and Matt Fitzpatrick – all top-ranked players. They are joined by Adam Scott, Justin Rose , Xander Schauffele and Billy Horschel; as well as the five-time tour champion who currently holds the 59th spot in world rankings.
Fowler expressed in a statement that the more knowledge he acquires about TGL, the greater his enthusiasm to participate grows. He added that he adores the concept of providing fans an opportunity to spectate golf matches within an atmosphere resembling other major professional sports games during peak viewing hours.
