Breaking; Bills Aiming for ‘Aggressive’ Trade to Land Top Wide Receiver

The Buffalo Bills are expected to target a wide receiver in the NFL Draft and may not want to sit around No. 28 overall to find him. NFL reporter Benjamin Albright confirmed on April 23 that the Bills are actively considering moving up in the first round to acquire one of their top wide receivers. The wide receiver position is particularly popular in this year’s draft, but the Bills’ pick late in the first round should put them out of reach of the top three prospects. Bills general manager Brandon Beane may be considering making that change, Albright reported to X.
Bills Moving Up Again
Beane didn’t hesitate to jump and move up in the first round in each of the past two seasons. Many believe the Bills will step up again and target wide receivers, filling some of the holes left after the team traded Stefon Diggs to the Houston Texans and made second receiver Gabe Davis a free agent. I expect it to be filled.
Opinions varied on how high this year’s bills ranked. In a mock published April 16, Rob Mardy of the Associated Press suggested the Bills could trade up to the No. 4 overall pick to acquire top receiver Marvin Harrison Jr.
The Athletic’s Joe Buscaglia also predicted the Bills would trade him, even though he would be worth less. He predicted Beane would trade the No. 7 overall pick for LSU wide receiver Malik Nabors. Buscaglia also supported the idea that signing Diggs would lead to the Bills taking a sharper step in the first round.
“I continue to believe that everything, including such a move on draft day, is a realistic possibility for the Bills,” Buscaglia wrote. perspective and how it fits into the system. Speaking to reporters shortly after the Diggs trade was completed, Beane suggested the Bills could further add to their receiver room through free agency. He noted that roster changes after the NFL Draft could keep some veterans and give the Bills room to add.
