The former Buffalo Bills’ quarterback’s fiancée responds in three words when asked if she will miss Buffalo.
Kyle Allen is departing, and the Buffalo Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen will have a fresh backup for 2024 NFL season.
In free agency, Kyle secured a $1.29 million deal with the Pittsburgh Steelers for one year. Responding to an Instagram Stories fan question on Tuesday, April 23, Summer Juraszek – his fiancée – was asked if there is anything she’ll miss about Buffalo.
She answered with a heart emoji and exclaimed, “The people are everything!”
Because Kyle was close pals with Josh prior to joining the Bills, bidding farewell is expectedly more challenging than usual. Despite not having any stats under his belt during seven games in Buffalo, this 28-year-old didn’t make a start.
Having joined the NFL in 2018, Kyle has been a part of Carolina Panthers, Washington Commanders and Houston Texans. During his time on field where he played in 23 games out of which he started for 19 times, Allen managed to throw for an overall tally of 4,734 yards with having scored impressive figures by making a total number of twenty-six touchdowns alongwith twenty-one interceptions under his belt.
On the other hand, Juraszek is thrilled about her spouse’s fresh prospect. When Omar Khan, Steelers’ general manager shared that Kyle would be joining their team at NFL’s yearly conference held in Orlando Florida, she rejoiced and posted on Instagram. She greeted the news by writing “Here we go” with a heart-shaped emoji embossed in gold and black colors while expressing gratitude for reaching Year 7 along with an affectionate message towards @kyle_allen.
Despite Kyle no longer being a part of the Bills, he and Josh have maintained a strong friendship. During his interview on “The QB Room” podcast hosted by Kyle, Josh expressed great enthusiasm for his ex-backup’s upcoming wedding this summer as it is one offseason activity that excites him the most.
Hailee Steinfeld and Josh Allen opted to skip the Oscars so they could attend Kyle Allen’s Bachelor Party.
During an appearance on the live show “Up & Adams” in Las Vegas, Allen gave a suggestion that he might attend the 2024 Oscars with his girlfriend Hailee Steinfeld. On March 10th of that year, Steinfeld’s film “Spiderman: Across the Spider-Verse” was nominated for Best Animated Feature Film at the 96th annual Academy Awards.
Josh was unable to attend since Kyle’s bachelor party took place on the same weekend. Nevertheless, quarterback Sam Darnold of the Minnesota Vikings along with Christian Kirk from Jacksonville Jaguars and Jordan Palmer who co-hosted “The QB Room” joined in for the celebration.
During the podcast, Josh made light of his previous blunder that almost resulted in a failed excursion to Georgia’s Ohoopee Match Club for their golfing expedition. Despite Kyle maintaining an initial lead, Josh managed to catch up and evened the score. Reminiscing on this moment, Josh shared how Kyle expressed feeling incredibly melancholic afterwards by saying “I haven’t been saddened like this for quite some time.”
Earlier this month, Kirk’s wedding in Arizona was attended by Josh, Kyle, Summer, and all.
Buffalo News: Mitch Trubisky, formerly of the Steelers as QB, has returned to Buffalo and will serve as backup for Josh Allen.
Mitch Trubisky, who previously played as quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers, has consented to rejoin the Buffalo Bills.
As Kyle makes his way to Pittsburgh, QB Mitch Trubisky who previously played for the Steelers is now heading back to Buffalo. The Bills had a positive experience with the former 2017 NFL draft No.2 pick during his time there.
Though he became the Steelers’ fresh starting quarterback, his tenure was fraught with difficulties. Despite inking a two-year $14.25 million deal, which offered potential incentives amounting to $27 million, he had only brief period as a starter at the team’s helm.
In week 5 of the 2022 NFL season, Pittsburgh replaced Trubisky with rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett. However, after Pickett was sidelined by an ankle injury later in the season, Trubisky made two more starts but failed to secure a win in either game. Consequently, Mason Rudolph took over as quarterback and helped lead Pittsburgh to three consecutive victories which ultimately clinched their spot in the playoffs.
Trubisky expressed that although he had thought of a few potential destinations, coming back to Buffalo was his priority. He stated that reuniting with Josh and joining a strong team felt like an obvious choice.
The Bills signed Trubisky to a two-year contract worth $5.25 million, which includes a guaranteed sum of $2.7 million.
