Bills OL’s Wife Posts Perfect Message Celebrating New Contract
In the 2024 NFL draft, The Buffalo Bills incorporated a plethora of fresh players. Yet, even after completing all rounds, Brandon Beane -the general manager- persisted in introducing more skilled individuals to their roster.
The Buffalo Bills made one of their initial decisions by enlisting ex-Utah offensive player, Keaton Bills. According to Mike Clay from ESPN, “Keaton Bills, an undrafted guard has affiliated with the [Buffalo]Bills organization; this comes as no surprise.”
As Bills fans rejoiced over the news of their team’s signing, Sydney Bills – wife of one guard in particular – took to Instagram with a heartwarming post. Alongside a photo featuring the couple’s son sporting his backward Bills hat, she shared her excitement with followers: “Looking good in that @buffalobills gear, Jensen!”
Dalton Kincaid, a Bills tight end and fellow University of Utah graduate, expressed his gratitude to the “Bills mafia 🙏🏽🙏🏽.”
Bills’ fellow Utah alum, Sydney, got married in March 2020 and the couple had a son named K. Jensen in July 2023. As Bills aims to secure a spot on the roster for Buffalo’s reigning AFC East champions, their family will now be based out of New York.
During his attendance at the NFL Combine some months ago, Bills was questioned regarding the likelihood of joining a team with a name similar to his own. Responding to Power 96.5 FM’s Muki Hawkins, he disclosed that the idea had been addressed on multiple occasions and expressed fondness for the moniker “Bills”. The outcome remains uncertain.
When asked what he can offer a franchise, his response was “I bring accountability, durability, and mental toughness. I’ve overcome injuries in the past and am adaptable on the field. Additionally, my experience with special teams is valuable as well. My future destination has me eager for what’s to come.”
The Bills jersey of the guard, who stands at 6 feet and 4 inches while weighing 324 pounds, may bear his name on both its front and back – a first for any player. According to Steve Bartle’s post on 24/7 Sports, this union between the Bills team and the said guard seems like it was destined by football deities.
Keaton Bills was Projected to Get Selected in the 6th or 7th Round of the NFL Draft
Last season, Bills played a significant role in Utes achieving an 11-6 record. He received recognition as Honorable Mention All-Pac.
Buffalo seems to be in a promising position with the undrafted free agent who received 12 honors twice. The Athletic’s Dane Brugler forecasts that he will likely be picked up by the Bills either in the 6th or 7th round, indicating good value for their team.
According to Brugler, Bills joined Utah’s 2016 signing class alongside RB Zack Moss and QB Tyler Huntley. Having taken a religious mission in Honduras prior to his enrollment at the university, Bills is affiliated with The Church of Latter-Day Saints. He made his way back to the United States in November 2018 before commencing studies as a defensive tackle for Utah but later transitioned into playing on their offensive line instead.
After completing his mission, he played in 38 games for the Utes over the past four years and emerged as their most dependable lineman. Despite not possessing an impressive athletic profile, Bills excels at swiftly setting up as a pass blocker and establishing a firm anchor to win battles within limited space.
In general, Bills’ athletic abilities fall short and his movement skills aren’t exceptional. However, he performs adequately in tight spaces with his strong hands and ability to tire out defenders through physical toughness. While he may not have a lot of potential for growth in the NFL, he offers practical expertise that can quickly add depth to any interior team position.
Buffalo’s Offensive Line Will Look Extremely Different in 2024
Next season, the offensive line of Buffalo will undergo significant changes as Ryan Bates and Mitch Morse exit. The Bills intend to relocate Connor McGovern at center while David Edwards battles for the left guard position against Alec Anderson and other teammates on the team.
According to Joe Buscaglia of The Athletic, McGovern received solid marks in their season-long film review but was the lowest-graded starter among his peers. Furthermore, he lacks experience at center in the NFL as evidenced by only playing 100 snaps there across five total seasons.
Although McGovern played center frequently during his time at Penn State, that was quite a while ago and only in college. While he may have the ability to perform well as their center, it is not without some inherent risk. Moreover, if Morse were released there could be repercussions throughout the starting line-up since he serves such an essential role in holding everything together. If necessary though, securing a talented young prospect for their offensive lineup via drafting later on might prove worthwhile for Buffalo Bills.”
Former Georgia center Sedrick Pran-Granger was chosen by the Buffalo Bills as pick No. 141 in the NFL draft, along with two offensive tackles Tylan Grable (No.204) and Travis Clayton (No.221).
