Golf legend Tiger Woods still managed to earn a decent amount of money despite missing out on the U.S. Open. The 48 -year -old man hoped to win the major for the fourth time, but the 36 disappointing holes have seen his dreams crash before the points of sale. Woods started more strongly, but in the end, he turned out to be seven at the same level after two laps, following which he did not receive qualifications for the weekend. He was two strokes back from the limit while 74 other golfers were five strokes back.
While Bryson DeChambeau holds the U.S. Open lead, Woods remains in contention for his first major title since his monumental win at the Masters in 2019. However, the golfing icon was given a deposit of £7.9 million ($10,000) for his stay in North Carolina.
