In Mikelson’s latest declaration, the PGA Tour bosses will be forced to scratch their heads

The biggest champion of six times Phil Mikelson suggested that he would not believe that the competitor of Liv Golf League Liv must conclude a peace agreement with the PGA Tour.

A large six -stroke champion was ahead and in the center throughout the saga, which started in 2022 and dominated the world’s big titles. In a recent interview, Lefty struck a more introspective tone, saying he desperately wanted to calm his anger.

Asked about the prospects for a settlement, Mickelson said, “I don’t know if one is necessary.” There were reports of a lightning strike before the U.S. Open, but PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan poured cold water on those claims.

Monahan insisted he would not negotiate through the media before the John Deere Classic. \ “I know that several years ago, it was not possible to have increased events,” added Mikelson.

\ “It was not an option for players to have capital. \”And it wasn\’t an option for players to transcend social media markets and create YouTube channels and have their own social media posts the way Bryson has done.

\”And the way Bryson has brought golf and this cool, hip vibe to so many people on YouTube. That wasn’t an option, so nothing like that happened until LIV happened. Now, thanks to LIV, all of this is happening.”

“The competition that both circuits provide enhances both circuits.

“So is a merger necessary? Probably not. But if you don’t have hostility, that’s a good thing. \ “

Mikelson became a Persona Nongrata on the PGA tour in June 2022. “I’m not a fan of the PGA Tour, I’m a bit of a fan of the PGA Tour, but I think it’s been a really good year for me,” Mickelson said. “You have to let go of everything,” he said, “all of your past experiences that weren’t all positive.

\”I need to let go of my hostilities, and we all do for the betterment of the game.\”

Of a future agreement, he added: \”All of the factors that are taking place quietly behind closed doors need to be ironed out, and other people are working on that, that\’s something that’s getting done.

\”But as that disruption phase takes place, the stranglehold on sponsors, the stranglehold on manufacturers, the stranglehold on players, the control that was had is being let go. “And now that there is talk about this potential merger and the sponsors are more interested, it’s not as controversial.”

\”Players are starting to come more, they’re starting to see the benefits.\”

Mickelson’s latest comments contradict LIV Commissioner Greg Norman. Norman is back on the offensive, targeting those who criticize golfers for taking their first steps into the unknown.
