LIV golf star’s seven-word statement on the PGA Tour speaks volumes
European golf star and former LIV player Pablo Larrazabal has made a bold statement about his future on the PGA Tour after fans begged him to join the American Series.
The Spaniard has been a fixture on the European Tour for 15 years and boasts nine wins in domestic events. The 41-year-old Larrazabal won the Korea Open and KLM Open titles last year and is currently ranked 150th in the world. The Barcelona native has also been a regular feature at golf\’s majors in the past, though he\’s missed the cut in 15 of his 20 attempts at golf\’s four biggest tournaments. He tied for 65th at the PGA Championship in 2023 but later missed the weekend\’s action at both the US Open and The Open in Liverpool. Given that he is still very competitive on the European Tour, it is only natural that Larrazabal would at least have the opportunity to compete on its PGA equivalent. However, he is adamant this does not jeopardize his future. Jon Rahm cruelly labeled “out of place” at majors after joining LIV Golf

Larrazabal, who competed in the Saudi Arabia-funded LIV Golf Series in 2022, received praise from one of X’s fans, who said he hopes to see more of his play on American courses. But the veteran was adamant: “Thanks, Felix, but I’ll never play a full PGA schedule…”
The top 10 in the Race to Dubai (European Tour) rankings automatically qualify for the PGA Tour. But New Father Larrazabal doesn’t seem interested in making such promises, even if they were possible.
The Spaniard is currently 50th in the Race to Dubai rankings, but still has time to break into the top 10. He is expected to play in the upcoming Genesis Scottish Open, where European Tour players play against PGA players before the Open.
Larrazabal remains
Larrazabal said he “can’t wait” for the Scottish Open to resume on Thursday at the Renaissance Club in North Berwick. But he admitted he is still working out some kinks in his game ahead of the big match.
