Tiger Woods has been told he made a mistake by denying the role of US Ryder Cup captain for 2025 to former European captain Bernard Gallagher.

Woods looked set to become the man to lead the US back on home soil at Bethpage Black in 2025, before it was revealed the 15-time major champion opted to decline the offer. The PGA of America then turned their attention to Keegan Bradley, who will lead his nation into battle at a course he knows well next Autumn. Those who know exactly how to take responsibility for the Rider Cup Team is a gallagger in Europe in three riders, including victory far from the Oak Hill Country Club’s house last year in 1995.

Galf Care Ambassador Gallard has completed his opinions on Woods, such as the United States “No” PGA, and then tells Mirror Sports as follows. “I was disappointed that Tiger Woods refused him. I think the PGA of America is probably disappointed, I think the whole American public is probably disappointed.

“You would think this would be the ideal captaincy for him. A home game in New York with a very enthusiastic support. “He’s on the board of directors and says he doesn’t have time because he’s trying to make a deal with LIV and the PGA Tour.”

The 2025 tournament is the American’s best chance to reclaim the title he lost to Marco Simone last October and will be held at Bethpage Black in front of New York’s notoriously rowdy crowds. As a result, Gallagher believes this would be the perfect opportunity for Woods to take the reins.

“I think Tiger is making a mistake by not being the captain of New York, he really is,” he added. “He’ll probably be the captain of Ireland next time, but he could have captained both in New York and Ireland, but he has his reasons for doing that and we have to accept that.”

Away from Woods, attention quickly shifted to Bradley, a nomination that caught many off guard, including Bradley himself. The American will be one of the youngest Ryder Cup skippers in New York, has indicated his intention to play at Bethpage Black as playing captain and still remains among the top 20 players in the world. The idea was Gallacher with the same opinion the next day, including Rory Mcilroy, a European rival. \ “He is only 38 years old and is in the world’s top 20, the Scottish people added. “You would think he would have said, ‘It’s a great honour, but I want to be on the team, not captain of the team.’

Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods make the same Ryder Cup decision for very different reasons

‘I don’t think you can be captain and play. There are too many distractions these days in being a playing captain with the media and other responsibilities.\” Despite the obvious question marks though, Gallacher does believe that the appointment could be a clever one by the PGA of America.

\” He does tick all of the boxes for the PGA of America though. “He’s obviously a player they like and obviously he’s very keen. I think it will work out well from an American point of view, but he will accept that ‘I can’t play and I can’t captain’.” I think he will be a good captain, the players will like him, he seems like a very nice guy.

Highlighting Bradley’s class when he admitted he didn’t make the U.S. team last time in Italy as a player, Gallagher added: “He took Zach’s phone call really well Johnson. He was disappointed but he took it well, graciously, and I think everyone admired him for that.\”
