Tiger Woods’ coach Scottie Scheffler faces criticism for PGA Tour comments he doesn’t like

Hank Haney, who worked with the great Tiger Woods during his coaching career, believes winning on the PGA Tour is no longer the feat it once was.

Tiger Woods’ former coach Hank Haney is facing criticism on social media after saying it’s “easier than it ever was” to win a PGA Tour tournament.

Haney, who has worked with some of the tour’s biggest names, including Woods, made the announcement on Sunday night after Australian star Cam Davis won the Rocket Mortgage Classic, recording his second US tournament win. Davis won a dramatic final round at Detroit Golf Club on Sunday, shooting a tough two-under par to beat the likes of Aaron Rai and Akshay Bhatia, as well as fellow American Min Woo Lee.

Haney, however, seemed less than impressed by the achievement, questioning the strength of the PGA Tour compared to what it once was. “No one at Corrupt Golf Media has written an article explaining how it’s never been easier to win on the PGA Tour,” he tweeted.

“That’s one of the many reasons they are founding members of CGM.” It seems that not everyone on social media agrees with Haney’s opinion, with many golf fans responding to the former 15-time major coach champion voicing his opinion. “Easier? PGAT (our) is always the hardest tour and the competition is tough,” one fan responded, while another tweeted: “Easy compared to what? The best player is more difficult to win a major event than in the past 50 years. This is because so many best players are participating in the same event.
