Jason Kelsey wins American Century Golf Long Drive. Travis wins in 2022

Jason Kelsey showed off his golf skills on Thursday at the 2024 American Century Championship Long Drive event.

The former Philadelphia Eagles all-pro center took first place in the tournament with a 322-yard drive at Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course in Stateline, Nevada. He is the second member of his family to win the event, as Kansas City Chiefs star Travis Kelce has already recorded the longest drive in 2022.

Kelsey Sr. was one of several current and former athletes to participate in a practice round Thursday before competition officially began Friday. Though he retired from the NFL in March, the 36-year-old was likely one of the most popular athletes on the field.

The three-round event will feature returning participants such as New York Jets guard Aaron Rodgers, NBA Hall of Fame forward Charles Barkley and Buffalo Bills guard Josh Allen. Kelce is also one of several new athletes playing, including former 11-time MLB All-Star Albert Pujols and Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Trevor Lawrence.
