British Open 2024: Power Rankings for the Entire Field at Royal Troon

British Open 2024: Power Rankings for the Entire Field at Royal Troon

For the 10th time in 101 years, the British Open will be held at Royal Troon on the west coast of Scotland. Located on the coastline next to the Firth of Clyde, the Royal Troon Hotel is the perfect place for a game of golf by the sea.

Wind and weather will play a starring role as the world’s best players compete to hear their names echo across the yellow scoreboards after the famous phrase ‘Golf Champion of the Year’.

I always thought Troon had a west coast vibe. St Andrews, Muirfield and many other famous Scottish transport links are located on the east coast of Scotland, near Edinburgh. Only Turnberry and Troon have won the Open regularly in the West: from the 1962 championship to the 2004 tournament, Troon produced six consecutive American winners. Only the legendary final round 63 Henrrick Stunkon was able to keep Filmicleson from being seventh.

The scenery is deceived in the Royaltoon. He seems straightforward, almost submissive, until the wind blows, and then he goes to the 9th hole, downwind as usual, only to find the return 9th hole is a long walk in high winds, even a storm. Trun dates back to 1878 and he received his royal title 100 years later. Few people know that its famous brand of 123-Fair, the postal brand, the shortest of the British Open Golf, was originally a blind pair of Green 3-None Green was built until 1910. In 2016, Royal Troon hosted one of the most dramatic clashes in Open history as Henrik Stenson defeated Phil Mickelson to win his first major title.

Royal Troon will host its tenth Open Championship in 2024. Most of us don’t remember what happened eight minutes ago, so eight years ago these two dominated the scoreboard. J.B. Holmes finished in third place, 11 strokes behind Mickelson and 14 strokes behind Stenson. Keep in mind that forecasts open up new possibilities, and if you catch the right weather wave you’ll have a fighting chance. Some people will be away for the weekend if bad weather forces an early retreat.

Set your alarm, because there’s nothing quite like an early morning round of Open Championship golf. Standing up in front of the sun, seeing the best in the world, and competing with something like another planet is a tradition that I am as aware of as a birdie tap. Use our power classification.
