Bronny James put together his second successive promising performance with 13 points as the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Cleveland Cavaliers 93-89 in the NBA Summer League on Thursday night.The son of NBA icon Lebron had eight first-half points on 3-of-5 shooting, ending the game by making 5 of 10 shots, including one of three from 3-point range.James also had five rebounds, three assists and two blocked shots.The 19-year-old, picked 55th in the draft, had been struggling during summer play until he scored 12 points in an 87-86 victory over Atlanta Hawks on Wednesday night.Before that, he was 7 for 31 from the field this summer and 4 for 19 in two games at Las Vegas.Last season, James played his only year of college basketball at Southern California, where he averaged 4.8 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists in the team’s final 25 games.He missed the start of the season due to a procedure to correct a congenital heart defect discovered after he suffered a cardiac arrest during a workout last summer.Lakers will be increasingly pleased with their draft picks in the last few days with fellow rookie Dalton Knecht posting another strong outing.The 23-year-old scored 20 points and seven rebounds on 7-16 from the field to show why he is looking more and more like a solid rookie for the Lakers.On Wednesday, Sarr struggled offensively, missing all 15 of his field goal attempts, including seven from three-point range, and both of his free throws. However, he made an impact defensively with nine rebounds and three blocks.It didn’t get much better on Thursday night as he went 1-of-6 from the field with 11 rebounds and four assists, taking his shooting total over the last two games to a concerning to 1-of-21 from the field.Across his four Summer League games, Sarr has 22 points on 9-of-47 from the field and is shooting 11.7 from deep.
