List of golfers who WD from The Open Championship 2024 so far

Four golfers have withdrawn from The Open Championship so far. The final Major of the year kicked off on Thursday, July 18, at Royal Troon. However, four of the 156 competitors have already withdrawn from the tournament.
French golfer Romain Langasc suffered a legitimate back injury during the first round of a major tournament, forcing him to withdraw from competition.

He teed off on the first hole but the injury made it difficult for him to play. He played the first seven holes of the first round but struggled after making a putt on the eighth and ultimately decided to withdraw in frustration. Former British Open champion Ernie Els also withdrew after the round of 82 on Thursday. He cited a back injury as his reason for withdrawing.

South Africa golfers went out of the ninja in the first round of the major and could not continue. Ers won the championship twice in his 2002 and 2012 career. Additionally, veteran golfer John Daly was absent due to a knee injury. The American shot 82 in the first round and withdrew before the start of the second round.

Swedish golfer Sebastian Soderberg also withdrew from the British Open Championship. He withdrew before the first round of the major tournament. Sodaberg, reportedly, fought with injuries of his back and ribs, forcing him to leave before the beginning
