Simone Biles answers questions after she was named to the 2024 Olympic team at the United States Gymnastics Olympic

With just over a week to go until the Paris 2024 Olympics, excitement is building for what is undoubtedly the world’s most thrilling sporting event. Athletes from across the globe will compete for medals in over 30 disciplines over the course of 17 action-packed days. However, a few sports like rugby, soccer, archery, and handball will kick off their events before the official opening ceremony on July 26.

Among the many captivating events, gymnastics stands out as a personal favorite, thanks to the strength, agility, and focus required of its competitors. Leading the charge for Team USA is the unparalleled Simone Biles. At 27, she is the oldest U.S. gymnast to compete in the Olympics in 72 years. Recently, Biles took to Instagram to share a photo of her Olympic competition schedule, captioned, “Don’t text me talkin’ bout ‘what time do you compete.’ Screenshot this or google it.”

It’s understandable that Biles might be frustrated with the constant queries about her schedule, especially when this information is so readily available online. For those still in need, here is the complete gymnastics schedule for Paris 2024. Biles has also regained significant attention due to the new Netflix series”Simone Biles Rising,” which delves into the mental health challenges she faced during the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.

Her story continues to inspire many as she prepares to add to her impressive tally of seven Olympic medals. If she secures two more, Biles will tie with the legendary Nadia Comaneci, placing her fifth in the all-time rankings. Four more medals would bring her total to 11, matching Czechoslovakia’s Vera áslavská, though still far from Larisa Latynina’s record 18 medals, achieved between 1956 and 1964.

Joining Biles on Team USA are familiar faces from the Tokyo Olympics: Suni Lee (21), Jordan Chiles (23), and Jade Carey (24). These athletes bring a wealth of experience and talent to the team. Adding fresh energy to the mix is 16-year-old Hezley Rivera, who is poised to become a key figure in future Olympic games, especially looking ahead to Los Angeles 2028.

The blend of seasoned competitors and young talent creates a dynamic team ready to take on the world. Suni Lee, who won all-around gold in Tokyo, will be looking to defend her title and add to her medal collection. Jordan Chiles and Jade Carey, both strong performers, will aim to showcase their skills and contribute to the team’s success against the always competitive Russia and China
