Toronto Raptors set to make their preseason in Malaga from mid-August

The Embassy will welcome the 2019 NBA Champions before the start of the 2024-25 seasonIn historical fashion, the Toronto Raptors decided to make their preseason in Europe, deciding to prepare for the upcoming 2024-25 NBA season in Malaga according to Diario SUR.Since mid-August, the 2019 NBA Champions will be in the South of Spain. Sasha Vezenkov, whose future is still unclear between the NBA and a potential return to Europe with Olympiacos, could also be present in Malaga in less than one month.The Embassy in Fuengirola, which has been the headquarters of NBA Europe in the past few years with 35 players joining NBPA’s “The Sanctuary” project, will now welcome an NBA franchise for the first time ever.The Toronto Raptors are coming off the first season with a European head coach in charge. In his head coaching debuting campaign, Darko Rajakovic couldn’t lead the Canadian franchise to the NBA Playoffs, as they finished the 2023-24 season with a 25-57 record.Andalucia and Malaga are returning to their glory days in basketball. After Unicaja spent a lot of years in the EuroLeague, the basketball representative of the city recently won the 2023 Copa del Rey and the 2024 Basketball Champions League with Kendrick Perry as Final Four MVP.
