Lakers legend James Worthy caught in unfortunate hot mic moment against Bronny James
Lakers legend James Worthy was caught slipping about Bronny James in an unfortunate hot mic momentAfternot being selected in the First round of the NBA Draft, Bronny James has one more opportunity on Thursday and everybody who wants to know if he will be an NBA player is watching. But this first day brought forward an unformtunate hot mic moment from none other than Lakers legend James Worthy. During a commercial break of the Los Angeles Lakers’ podcast, Worthy was caught in an embarassing hot mic moment basically slamming Bronny James in a sarcastic manner. Worthy said the following: “Who we gonna be waiting for on the second day? Well, he’s the greatest young player ever right now, that’s Bronny – that’s what I’m gonna say.”In hindsight, James Worthy was mostly complaining about the coaching selection of J.J. Redick, the third in one year. If you hear at the entire hot mic clip. You can’t see James’ face but it’s pretty clear he is the one who is talking. When he mantioned Bronny, it’s hard to make out if he was being sarcastic or if he meant what he said. Regardless of his intentions with these comments, it’s more than clear that LeBron James will be having some words with Worthy about this if it hasn’t happened already. Although the situation seems complicated for Bronny, getting this type of bashing from one of the Lakers legends against LeBron’s first-born son has to hurt. For Bronny James, he already expected to potentially not be selected not only because of his age and lack of NCAA experience but also due to the health issues he suffered last year. He has recovered completely from the unfortunate cardiac arest he suffered but that doesn’t mean NBA teams are not wary of potentially drafting a playr who could go through another episode like that one. Doctors have already stated Bronny is fit to play and he is at no risk but NBA teams are still extremely careful when they make selections. Where will Bronny James end up if he gets selected on Thursday during the second round of the NBA Darft?
