Red Bull boss Christian Horner has defended Max Verstappen’s approach after he was sim racing until 3am on the day of the Hungarian GP.Verstappen was taking part in the iRacing Spa virtual 24 Hours for his Team Redline outfit, but his frustrations boiled over during the F1 race after a bad strategy call from the team and a messy race.Horner fielded questions after a stewards’ investigation into Verstappen was launched for colliding with Lewis Hamilton about Verstappen’s extra-curricular activities, and defended his driver.Daniel Ricciardo was feeling confident heading into the race after bagging P9 on the grid, and feeling the Aston Martin’s of Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll were gettable on another day. But his race was ruined when RB hauled him in for an early pit-stop that dropped into in the DRS train, leaving him unable to fight for points.To make matters worse, Yuki Tsunoda did a one-stop strategy to ninth, with Ricciardo furious at not receiving an apology from the team.
