Painful Injuries Linking Tiger Woods, Michelle Wie West Revealed by Five-Time LPGA Champion

What do you think Tiger Woods and Michelle Wie West have in common? No, it has nothing to do with sports! More like a laundry list of injuries. The world knows Woods has had foot and back problems over the years, but like the 15-time major champion, West has also had his share of injuries in the past. Who would have thought that this series of injuries would create a connection between the two? No one!

Recently, West was on Pablo Torre’s Finds Out YouTube channel, and they talked about a lot of things in a 50-minute-long video. Since the conversation continued, she has discussed the fight against professional greenery and the fight against injuries. In the latter half of the video, he asked, “What are you talking about when you meet Tiger Woods?” Do you two have some kind of connection on the level of people who grew up in the spotlight at a young age and had to go through all of this?

Answering the question, the 34-year-old came up with an interesting answer, saying: “How’s your neck?” I ask. He asks, “How’s your wrist?” How’s your back? We look at every part of your body first and say, ‘Okay, okay, okay, okay… oh, it’s getting better,’ and then you can talk normally.” She later added that five minutes of their conversation is usually spent talking about the trauma.

Throughout her professional golf career, Michelle Wie West has recorded 49 top-10 finishes on the LPGA Tour and five lifetime victories. She also became the youngest player to qualify for the USGA Amateur Championship at age 10. This earned her the nickname “the second Tiger Woods”, but numerous hand and wrist injuries became a major setback for the former professional. After giving birth to her first child, a daughter she named Makenna Kamalei Yuna West, the 34-year-old announced her retirement from golf at the end of the 2023 LPGA season. Yes, they discuss each other’s health every time they meet, but West has known Woods since he was a child. Michelle Wie West grew up idolizing Woods and may cherish the memories of being called the next Tiger Woods. Her father’s love for the GOAT led her to look up to him, with photos of him swinging hanging on her bedroom wall. What do you think about their friendship?
