Tiger Woods’ son Charlie files lawsuit after U.S. Junior Amateur accident

Woods’ teenage son, Charlie Woods, said he “want to prove to myself” he can do more after a nightmare U.S. Junior Amateur.

Tiger Woods’ teenage son, Charlie, said he wants to prove he can do more after winning a junior tournament in Florida, just weeks after a disappointing debut in the U.S. Junior Amateur. Charlie, 15, had a tough time at Oakland Hills last month. His 48-year-old father watched as he finished 22-over after 36 holes, shooting 82-80, missing the cut by half a mile. The duo drew a big crowd and Charlie would no doubt have been hoping for a better performance in the 264-player field.

Unsurprisingly, Tiger attracted the most attention, with one spectator managing to take a photo of the golfer’s right leg without the protective sleeve.

The horrifying picture showed the true extent of the injuries he sustained in his February 2021 car crash.

Tiger won the U.S. Junior Amateur three times in a row in the early 1990s.

But Charlie still played in the Junior PGA Cup in South Florida last week, presented by Callaway and Top Tracer. Charlie won the tournament on the East Course at Barren Isles Country Club with a score of 1 under par after 54 holes.

He shot 73-68-73 and was the only player in the field to finish under par. 63 boys and 25 girls participated in the golf tournament.

Eva Barking won the women’s competition. In the aftermath of victory, Charlie said he wanted to \’redeem\’ himself.

\”I feel like it was a compilation of a lot of hard work this summer,\” he told a PGA of America official when asked how he won. “I wanted to get myself back and I’m happy with how I played,” he added. “I was focused and I knew what I had to do to achieve it. “I wanted to prove that I could do more.”
