The history of American track and field has seen so many great athletes, but only a few have reached the elite level of absolute eliteness. Without a doubt, two of those athletes are Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James and Simone Biles, widely considered the greatest gymnast of all time.

That title was already reserved for Biles ahead of the 2024 Olympics in Paris, but she further cemented her status by helping the U.S. women’s gymnastics team win the gold medal. She then followed that up by becoming the first American woman, and only the third woman in history, to win two Olympic all-around gold medals.

Following her historic victory, deserved praise poured in for Biles from all over, including from another of the greatest athletes this world has ever seen. LeBron responded to Biles’ social media post, calling him the Black GOAT:

Biles now has six Olympic gold medals, nine total medals, plus an absurd 23 World Championship gold medals in her collection. His dominance in gymnastics was truly incredible, with many stars attending the event to witness his achievements, including LeBron’s teammates from USA Basketball. It is always wonderful to praise fans and even other athletes, but it is different when he comes from someone like James, who is really the best of the best. Few people can refer to the pressure that Bilz faces to be magnificent and exceed his own high expectations, but LeBron is the one who can and, therefore, means much more.
