Simone Biles ends her ‘Redemption Tour’ at the Paris Olympics with a final silver medal in floor routine.

Simone Biles did not conclude her “Redemption Tour” with a triumphant gold encore in Paris (AP).

When she arrived at the Bercy Arena for Monday’s floor and beam exercise finals, exhaustion had consumed her – both mentally and physically.

This is the purpose of this event and sport.

The 27-year-old who has been dedicatedly driving gymnastics’ progress, both in competition and culture, for the past decade knows this better than anyone else.

Biles didn’t seem to mind when she hopped off balance beam resulting in missing out on a medal, and then stepped out of bounds twice during her floor routine causing her to finish second in her signature event – something she hadn’t experienced before.

Gymnastics occurrences are not uncommon. They can happen to anyone, even the most renowned gymnasts or the Greatest of All Time (GOAT).

The lady, who had no expectations regarding her presence in this place a couple of years ago, will bid farewell to Paris – and potentially conclude her last Olympic event – having acquired three gold medals along with one silver. Additionally, she may have achieved something even more significant: inner serenity.

The 11-time Olympic medalist expressed that she had surpassed her greatest ambitions, not only in this Olympics but also in the sport. She mentioned that she couldn’t be upset with her performances and was content with winning four medals before leaving the competition.
