Simone Biles reveals calf injury in protective boot after disappointing finish at Paris Olympics
Simone Biles insists her injured calf is fine, even though the gymnastics legend has been wearing a protective boot since the end of the Olympic period.
The 27-year-old American could only win a silver medal on the floor exercise on Monday after injuring her foot during warm-up exercises. Biles slipped after landing and appeared to aggravate the calf injury that had plagued her throughout the Olympics.
She then finished fifth on the balance beam, falling off the apparatus in front of a shocked crowd that included NFL legend Tom Brady. The gold medal was a painful finish for Biles, who had already placed first in the team all-around, individual all-around and vault.
Biles appeared to have fallen while warming up for floor exercise, aggravating a calf problem.
