The U.S. Junior Amateur tournament cut was missed by Charlie, son of Tiger Woods.

On Tuesday in Bloomfield Township, Michigan, Charlie Woods – Tiger Woods’ 15-year-old son – missed the cut at the U.S. Junior Amateur by a margin of 18 strokes.After shooting a disappointing 12-over 82 at Oakland Hills’ North Course on Monday, the younger Woods improved his performance and scored a 10-over-par 80 in the second round at South Course.

At the age of 15, 16, and 17 he emerged victorious in the event. His father was present to witness his remarkable feat as he became the sole three-time champion of that tournament.After getting off to a promising start with three pars and one birdie on Tuesday’s back nine, Charlie Woods encountered a series of unfortunate events.

Finishing the back nine, he recorded a double bogey followed by a bogey and par. Unfortunately, his luck dwindled as he ended with another double bogey and triple bogey consecutively, resulting in an overall score of 8 over par for that day.After a rocky start, Woods found his footing on the front nine and managed to score a birdie along with five pars.

However, he closed out the game with three disappointing holes: bogey-par-bogey. Amongst those who competed against him, only 17 players finished with scores lower than Woods; though one contender withdrew after completing just one round.In December, the father and his son will unite as a team for the PNC Championship in Orlando.Scoring an impressive 6-under 134 and shooting a remarkable round of 68 at the South Course on Tuesday, Blades Brown clinched the position of stroke-play medalist in the U.S. Junior Amateur event.

Outperforming all competitors in a field size of 264 players, he secured his spot among the top qualifying bracket for advancing to match play that commences Wednesday – comprising only the leading sixty-four contestants.
