Regular season bonus boosts Scottie Scheffler’s earnings to staggering levels
Scotty Scheffler’s epic season just got even more lucrative: The world No. 1 earned an additional $8 million on Monday by finishing first in the Comcast Business Tour Top 10, which recognizes the top players at the end of the PGA Tour’s regular season. Scheffler has already earned $28.1 million in tournament play this year and is set to play in the next two playoff events, both with $20 million in prize money. The winner of the FedEx Cup gets a $25 million bonus.
Scheffler won six Tour titles for the first time since 2009 and had a 1,900-point lead in season races. Scheffler has already earned more than $70 million during his career, excluding bonuses.
Two-time major winner Xander Schauffele finished in second place with $6 million, while Rory McIlroy ($4.8 million), Collin Morikawa ($4.4 million) and Wyndham Clark ($4 million) rounded out the top five. The top 10 prize pools are as follows:
