Former MLB star Jeff Francoeur revealed that his former manager Bobby Cox once helped him fake an injury so he could play golf with Tiger Woods.

During his first stint with the Braves, Francoeur worked under longtime manager Cox.

Cox, now 83, is a Braves Hall of Fame member and coached the Braves from 1978 to 1981 and again from 1990 to 2010. Looking back on his time with the Oklahoma native, Francoeur made an unbelievable confession.

“I had the opportunity to meet President Bush and President Obama…” Francoeur told ESPN’s Tim Kurkdjian. I wasn’t as surprised as I was when I first met Tiger Woods.

“But the coolest story about Bobby Cox is that during practice he used to love watching us play golf. “We’re playing the Yankees at 1:00 p.m. on game day, and I was 22.

“I’ve been playing for three months as a starter. I wasn’t going to go to Bobby and say, ‘Hey, I need a day off,’ right?

“But he comes down the stretch and says, ‘(John) Smoltz, he said you had a chance to play with Tiger today.’ The MLB Broadcasting Station provides the theory after worship wearing clothes like a clown.

“How is that even possible?” baseball fans are wondering after MLB announced regular season games will be played at the Speedway.

“He said, ‘When today starts, you just run up to first base and rub your ankle a little bit like you hurt yourself?'”

“We’re going to Bradenton in two days,” so it’s clear they need three starters. “And he told me, ‘I don’t like the infielders in Bradenton, I don’t want the guys to get hurt, so if you go to Bradenton, I’ll let you play Tiger today.'”

“So, of course, we’re playing the Yankees, 12, 13,000 people. I started running and rubbed my ankle as I ran to the starting point.

  1. If runners are on base, the pitch clock is reduced from 20 seconds to 18 seconds. With the goal line empty, it remains at 15 seconds. 2. In the event of a pitcher change, the innings clock will be reset to 2 hours and 00 minutes instead of last year’s 2 hours and 15 minutes. 3. In 2024, teams will be allowed only four mound visits per game, down from five last season. 4. Fielders and defenders blocking bases will be held accountable for obstruction. 5. The runner’s path from home plate to first base has been widened, including the dirt between the grass and the white line. \”You know, Bobby, he’s waddling around there with all his…
